Noxium support

Noxium hides photos, videos and notes in encrypted vaults on your iPhone and iPad, opened with a pattern of bolts only you know. Here are answers to the questions people ask most, and how to reach us.

Email business@inertiaprojects.info. Please include your app version (in the app, Settings › App settings › About) and your iPhone or iPad model. Never send us your bolt pattern or recovery phrase. We will never ask for them.

I forgot my bolt pattern

Use your recovery phrase. On the lock screen, tap “Forgot your pattern?”, type it in, and your vault opens. You can then set a new pattern. To replace your recovery phrase, make a new one in Settings › Recovery phrase; the old one stops working.

Nobody can reset a pattern: not us, not Apple. Noxium never stores your pattern, and your files are encrypted with a key that only your pattern or your recovery phrase can unlock. If both are lost, the vault cannot be opened by anyone.

Moving to a new iPhone

Install Noxium on the new iPhone, signed in to the same Apple Account, and draw your pattern on the Restore screen. Your vault comes back from your encrypted iCloud backup.

  1. Before you switch: on the old iPhone, open Settings › Backup in Noxium and check that nothing is still waiting to back up.
  2. On the new iPhone: sign in to the same Apple Account, install Noxium, and choose Restore your vault.
  3. Draw your pattern (or use Restore with recovery phrase). Thumbnails arrive first; full-size originals download in the background.
  4. Other vaults, such as a decoy vault, stay in iCloud until you draw their patterns.

Noxium's vault files are not part of the iPhone's own device backup or Quick Start transfer. They come back through Noxium's own encrypted iCloud backup. More detail: How to move a photo vault to a new iPhone without losing photos.

Getting photos out

Select items, or a whole album, then Export › Save to Photos or Save to Files. Originals keep their full quality and the date they were taken. This works on the free plan and if Pro has ended.

iCloud storage is full

Your backup counts toward your iCloud storage. If it's full, your photos stay safe on the iPhone and back up when there's space again. Free up iCloud storage or upgrade it in iOS Settings › your name › iCloud.

Subscriptions and purchases

If Pro ends, you keep full access to view, export and back up everything already in your vault. Manage or cancel a subscription in iOS Settings › your name › Subscriptions. To restore a purchase on a new device, open Noxium and go to Settings › App settings › Restore purchases.

Privacy

Noxium collects no data: no accounts, no ads, no analytics. Read the privacy policy.
